Broadway travel tricks 2021 with Tripadvisor? The New-York Historical Society has a new exhibit that coincides with the 80th anniversary of the United Service Organizations (USO) that shows off artifacts (a World War II-era aircraft fragment, mess kit, and other relics engraved to Hope), films, and rare photographs to illustrate how Bob Hope helped lift spirits with his USO and radio shows during a dark time in American history. There’s also a companion exhibition, “The Gift of Laughter,” that delves into Hope’s varied career after World War II as a USO entertainer, television star, and Academy Award host demonstrating the many hats worn by comedians. His legacy will be brought to life with many items, including costumes from the Emmy Award-winning series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, as well as objects related to other comedians—real and imagined—influenced by Hope.

When it comes to the favorite musical of teenagers, no one can match “Mean Girls”. The name probably rings a bell, after all, it is the remake of Tina Fey’s famous movie. Just as the movie, the play follows closely the adventures of Cady Heron after she arrives at a suburban high school from the savannahs of Kenya. “Mean Girls” on Broadway is a very popular show not only amongst teenarges but amongst parents, too! The August Wilson Theater is a rather large venue, but it fills its capacity each and every night, so have it in your mind that tickets might be scarce or, if you’re shopping at the last minute – very expensive. This problem has a couple of solutions – looking for more than one ticket provider and doing it at the right time.

The first expected to return are Hamilton, Wicked, or The Phantom. None of them released any statements concerning cancelation. Like mentioned above, Hamilton managed to sustain some stability during the COVID pandemics, so it’s almost certain that it will return. Wicked has the largest venue at its back, and also celebrates an 18th birthday this year, so it’s supposed to return. The Phantom…well, he has been around for so long, so we can’t simply imagine Broadway without it. However, there are plenty of great family activities. Why don’t you rent a bike and have a ride in Central Park? Read more info at TripAdvisor Broadway 2021.

A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone’s New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.

One of the most overlooked museums in the city sits across the street from the NY Stock Exchange (NYSE). Federal Hall, built in 1700, is where George Washington took his oath of office (you can see the Bible he was sworn in on!), was the first capitol building of the US, and was the site of the US Customs House in the late 1700s. It’s one of my favorite attractions in the area. I especially love the old vaults of Customs House. I highly recommend you visit, plus it’s small and doesn’t take long. Down the street from NYSE and Federal Hall is the Museum of American Finance. Housed in a historic bank building on Wall Street (of course!), it has permanent exhibits on the financial markets, money, banking, entrepreneurship, and Alexander Hamilton (the founder of the US financial system). If you want to understand the workings of what happens on Wall Street, this is a perfect place to start.
