If in the early 20th century Mykonos was a fairly poor, desolate island, today it’s one of the glitziest hang-outs in the Mediterranean. A white-washed paradise frequented by jet-setters and party-goers, Mykonos has nonetheless managed to retain much of its character and natural beauty.
One of the most popular Spanish islands attracts thousands of tourists. Known for the pristine beaches and active nightlife, Majorca attracts tourists from the 19th century. Through the decades famous artists like Fr?d?ric Chopin, Agatha Christie, George Sand and Joan Mir? have visited and worked here.
Why to go there? Great holiday destination, various activties, rich nature and culture.
When to go there? Mild Mediterranean climate attracts visitors all year round. Months from June to October are the warmest.
The most striking feature of Marseille’s Basilica of Notre Dame de La Garde is the 30-foot gold statue of the Virgin Mary (sitting on a 180-foot bell tower/belfry) protectively looking out over her city. Locals call her la bonne mere or “the good mother.” The Roman-Byzantine church’s mosaics were restored in 2008 after years of damage from candle smoke and the impact of bullets during the liberation of Marseille in 1944. Bullet holes from the battle are still visible on the northern facade of the basilica.
The Italian island of Sardinia is the Mediterranean idyll writ large – all impossibly blue seas and perfect sandy beaches. For couples looking to splash out a bit and do Sardinia in style, the most exclusive part of the island is the Costa Smeralda. Share beaches with the Jet Set Lot, and spy on millionaire super yachts cruising these chic waters. Excellent restaurants abound – well, this is Italy – and top of the bill for a intimate dinner is Da Giovannino with its beautiful harbour setting, surrounded by pink blossoms.

The Grand Hotel Smeralda Beach boasts its own private beach, a brace of restaurants and watersports to suit everyone from lazy sailing to fast-paced motor boats.
How to get there?

Instagram quickly outgrew its first impression as a fun app for kids and has become a serious content marketing, selling, networking and audience building tool for individuals and brands. It’s one of the most popular social networking sites on the planet, with over 200 million active monthly members sharing 60 million images and 1.6 billion likes per day.
Just how awesome is it? Engagement rates for brands on most social networks are less than 0.1%, but Instagram blows them all away. The average Instagram engagement rate for brands in a 2014 Forrester study was an epic 58 times higher than on Facebook.
Cross-promote your dedicated hashtag.
That’s nice that you created a #joesgarage hashtag for your company, but who knows to use it to share content about you? Make sure it’s in your profile, but take the game offline and have it printed on your receipts, in print ads, on signage in your store and at relevant events.
Remove unwanted tagged photos of you from your profile.
If you only want to feature the best user-generated content about you or your brand on your Instagram profile, you can. Now, you can’t remove the tagged photos from the site entirely, by choosing “Edit Tags,” selecting the ones you want to remove and choosing “Hide from Profile” (you may need to confirm). It does the trick.

It is time to move and all you can think about is how much you have to pack and get ready for. Not only do you have to pack up the households belongings you have to pack your families too. In my experience most families try to move during the summer or winter breaks from the kid’s school; that way it does not interrupt them too much. Since moving is stressful for parents, imagine how stressful it can be for young children and even teens. Not only are they moving households they could potentially be moving to Calgary to start a new life.
So heres a summary of what are some very useful moving tips (from Calgary office moving companies) :
Your current home works for you – without really having to think about things anymore. You have the right flooring, furniture, window dressings etc. that fit your lifestyle.
However, when you move you may have agreed to leave certain things in the house such as curtains, freezer etc…
As such, it’s worth making a list of these things, remembering to leave them behind and not pack them (put a sticker on things that the removals company shouldn’t touch to be safe).
You don’t want to end up moving only to find you have brought something with you that you shouldn’t have!
Most of the time we move out of the old house and into the new house on the same day.
There is however, good argument for moving in on the following day instead, creating a 2 day move.
If you can get the keys to your new house the day before your stuff arrives, you have a great chance to clean everything first, or put in new carpets/flooring etc..
It’s so much easier to clean and add new flooring into a space when the house is empty, and then when you put all your stuff into the house you can be sure you’re happy with the state of the house first (think kitchen cupboards, bathrooms, carpets etc.)
It may well be worth paying for a 2 day removal service for this very reason.
In a similar vein to packing a special box for each child, you should also think about packing a box for you on the first night.
Consider adding things like: –
Corkscrew – you will probably want to raise a glass in the new house!
Batteries
A torch
Tea / Coffee / Milk
Snacks
Radio
Screwdriver set**
– basically anything that you feel you will need pretty much immediately on arriving at your new home.
This will make the first night a lot easier.
If the rental agency doesn’t provide an estimate of what the trucks can hold in terms of equivalent spaces as in the list above, you can guess using this general guide: one room = 3 cubic feet of truck space. Again, this is just an estimate, and you should always err on the side of caution and rent a slightly larger truck than your estimate.
A moving truck is a necessity when you are relocating. If you hire professional moving services, the moving company will likely bring their vehicle or trailer. However, other moving services will just load and unload a truck or moving container that you rent. There is also the option of loading the truck on your own with the help of family or friends. If you must reserve a moving vehicle for your upcoming relocation, selecting the right size is essential to a smooth and efficient move.
As you begin packing boxes and storage containers, you may get a much better idea of how much space you need in a moving truck. After all, it can be challenging to estimate truck space you need for all your kitchen items stored in cabinets and drawers. After you pack non-essentials, you can determine how many additional boxes you need for the essentials that you will pack at the last minute. In addition to considering boxes, pay attention to how many furnishings or appliances you own and the dimensions of each. Remember to take advantage of vertical space in a truck.
Small rental trucks should be used primarily for local moves. Only consider renting a 10′-12′ truck if you have a studio or small one bedroom apartment with minimal furniture.
Larger rental trucks are best utilized for single family and townhomes. If you have any doubt about whether or not your household goods can fit into a medium truck size you should always defer to this range.
We know choosing your rental truck size can be difficult, especially if your moving long distance. If you still need more help we recommend reviewing another one of our relocation guides, choosing a rental truck size. We hope that our guide to choosing the correct rental truck size was helpful for you. We leave you with some final tips and advice not otherwise covered in this blog:
If you’re moving locally this should be a no-brainer. Truck rentals used for local moves are billable at a per day and mileage rate, the daily price may vary by $10-$20 depending on the size. In other words, spend the extra few bucks and get the larger truck just to be sure.
Are you moving? Whether you’re shifting to an apartment or a house, upsizing or downsizing, planning is the most important thing you can do.
Pack an overnight bag containing all the essentials. Chances are, you’ll be too tired to unpack your things. You’ll want your essentials within easy access, including a change of clothes if you’re going back to work the next day as well as all your toiletries. It’s also a great way to transport a laptop, which could run the risk of getting stolen during a move.
Many movers come with insurance, which means if something breaks, they have to compensate you. You might want to weigh the pros and cons though – they won’t want to be responsible for a television that isn’t properly packed in its original box and could end up charging you upward of $150 to pack it as they see fit. Also remember to book them weeks in advance – you’re not the only person trying to get out of your space on the last day of the month.
If you’re moving house with children, get them involved in packing their own items. If they are nearing or in their teenage years, this could also be an opportunity for them to let go of old toys and books, helping you to declutter further.
Get them to creatively label their stuff with bright colours and drawings as a way to keep them interested.

Tourism in Sri Lanka has been growing ever since the end of the civil war in 2009. The island country is quite beautiful despite the fact that its economy is not among the best in the world. The beauty of the country can largely be attributed to the natural lifestyles that the people have adopted, which includes covering the hills with large tea gardens.
However, for tourists who are willing to shed a few extra dollar bills from their pockets, there is an option to stay in high-end luxury hotels as well. This means that Sri Lanka has something to offer for all types of tourists, whether indoors or outdoors. From open tea plantations and high waterfalls to spas and pools, you will find everything in Sri Lanka. (E visa to Sri Lanka for US Citizens)

I applied for etourist visa for india online @ https:/tvoa.html. I didn’t have any issues with the application or payment process. I received approval the next day after submitting. My friend had issues submitting his application and decided to go to the Indian consulate in San Francisco, CA. They told him all applications for visa to India have to be done through the consulate and the etourist visa was unreliable. Not sure what to think, but I’ll stick with etourist visa and bring all the visa approval emails I received with me when I travel next week. The consulate took my friends passport and said they’ll mail it back to him in 5-7 days.

We simply handed them over along with our passports and within about 2 or 3 mins were waved through. Have a great trip!
Leave a note in your old house to say you have set up mail forwarding, but give your new address and contact details just in case anything should be sent to the old house in error – that way you are covered from all angles.
Getting your kids involved as much as possible. For the younger ones make a game out of it; like who can pack their toys the fastest. Labeling the boxes can be fun too. Take them to a dollar store, craft store or teacher supply store and let them pick out fun stickers that they can put on the boxes to represent it is theirs. They can also pick out other stickers to help mark the boxes for the rest of the house.
So heres a summary of what are some very useful moving tips (from appliances movers Calgary) :
Moving house costs.
A lot.
Why would you want to add to this cost by paying to move things you don’t use or need?
We all have items in our house that have long been forgotten – usually ending up in the garage, loft or shed, but they could be lurking anywhere.
Before you start your packing is the perfect time to go through everything and have a good sort out.
Moving is a fresh start, so the last thing you want to take with you are things that you don’t need or use any longer.
Decluttering before you sell means that you only move what you really need – and you will not only save money by doing so, but you will also save time in the new house by not having to unpack and deal with all that stuff in the future.
I call that a win-win!
Decluttering your home is a massive job in itself, and this is a job only you can do.
As such, why not take the strain off a little and get the removals to do what they are best at – and that’s to pack everything up for you.
For me, its a no-brainer for so many reasons: –
They will be insured for any breakages
They can do this SO quickly! (it’s great to watch the experts in action!)
It usually doesn’t cost a lot (a lot less than I imagined it would cost), and when you are talking about the cost of moving I think it’s an expense that’s well worth it.
It frees you up to oversee everything
They supply all boxes and packaging which will save you time and expense
By now your car will be very full! (valuables, paperwork, essentials box and a box for each child), but there’s one thing extra thats worth taking with you – and that is bedding.
If you have your bedding ready to go when you get to your home – whether you arrive late at night or have more time to unpack, you know that you have something to sleep on and be more comfortable on that first night.
After all – things can go slowly on moving day, and you may not get your keys until it’s really too late to start unpacking – so best be prepared!.
The following list is a guide that most rental agencies will use to determine the size of truck you’ll need. Just remember that this is a guide only:
26′ will move 4+ bedrooms
24′ will move 3-4 bedrooms
17′ will move 2-3 bedrooms
14′ will move 1-2 bedrooms
10′ will move a studio or small 1-bedroom apartment
Before you reserve your moving truck, you need to explore truck size options available. For example, through U-Haul, you can rent a 10-foot truck, which the company states that it is suitable for a studio or one-bedroom apartment. The most substantial truck offered by U-Haul is a 26-foot truck, which may be ideal for a three to a four-bedroom house. There are multiple truck sizes in between these two extremes, and there are also trailer options available that may be suitable for towing behind your vehicle.
Most small moving trucks have rear wheel wells that stick out and reduce the amount of flat cargo space.
Moving trucks between 14′-17′ are the most common sizes rented. They tend to be the most inexpensive trucks because of the quantity available.
If you plan to pack and load your moving truck by yourself or with help from your friends you should defer to a larger truck size. Professional movers are trained to maximize the overall space, whereas those not professionally trained may not be able to achieve the same level of efficiency. If you are considered about space consumption consider hiring moving labor to properly load your truck.
Are you moving? Whether you’re shifting to an apartment or a house, upsizing or downsizing, planning is the most important thing you can do.
Place an extra cotton pad or ball into your powder cosmetics to keep them from breaking.
Grab a box and fill it with all the essentials you’ll need on the first day. Include toilet paper, mugs, teabags, milk, scissors, bin bags and why not add a celebratory tipple? Remember to keep it with you on your journey to your new home, so it doesn’t get mixed with rest of your belongings and lost.
If you’re moving house with children, get them involved in packing their own items. If they are nearing or in their teenage years, this could also be an opportunity for them to let go of old toys and books, helping you to declutter further.
Get them to creatively label their stuff with bright colours and drawings as a way to keep them interested.

One of the main benefits of blockchain technology is the way it removes intermediaries or middlemen. The music business is a prime example of an industry whose inefficiencies have seen artists poorly remunerated for their efforts. A number of blockchain-based projects have sprung up seeking a fairer deal for music creators, including Artbit, overseen by former Guns N Roses drummer Matt Sorum.
Entertainment blockchain examples : SpotifyWhen Spotify acquired blockchain startup Mediachain Labs it was to help develop solutions via a decentralized database to better connect artists and licensing agreements with the tracks on Spotifys service.
Blockchain in retail : WarranteerA blockchain application that allows consumers to easily access info regarding the products they purchased and get service in the case of product malfunction.
Logistics and supply blockchain cases : De BeersDe Beers mines, trades and markets more than 30% of the worlds supply of diamonds. The company plans to use a blockchain ledger for tracing diamonds from the mine to the customer purchase. This transparency will help the industry and anybody who wishes to verify, confirm diamonds are free from conflict. Fura Gems also plans to use blockchain in its supply process of emeralds, rubies and other precious stones.
Insurance : Proof of insuranceNationwide insurance company is currently testing a blockchain solution to provide proof-of-insurance information called RiskBlock. Ultimately, when this tool is fully deployed it will help law enforcement, insured and insurers verify insurance coverage in real time and accelerate claims processing.
Healthcare blockchain cases : GemWith a goal to give patients control over their medical records and genomic data by using a blockchain solution, Gem has also partnered with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to experiment with using blockchain to monitor infectious diseases.
Realestate applications of blockchain : BitPropertyUsing blockchain and smart contracts, BitProperty wants to democratize opportunity and create a decentralized society by allowing anyone anywhere in the world (except the U.S. and Japan due to regulatory concerns) to invest in real estate.
Blockchain is now being used to support sustainable fishing. Illegally caught fish is an endemic problem within the industry, and distributed ledger technology provides a means of proving where fish were caught, processed and sold. This net-to-plate chain allows inspectors to determine whether fish had come from regions notorious for human rights abuses or from countries that are affected by economic sanctions.

Teeth whitening tips. One simple strategy can help maintain white teeth: brush. Brush at least twice daily. Even better, brush after every meal and snack. Brushing helps prevent stains and yellow teeth, especially at the gum line. Both electric and sonic toothbrushes may be superior to traditional toothbrushes in removing plaque and surface stains on teeth. Also, don’t forget to floss and use an antiseptic mouthwash daily.
Banana Peel: After you eat the banana, take the inside of the peel and rub it on your teeth and then rinse. Although there have been counter arguments whether it works or not, the best way is to find out yourself. It will not cost you a dime anyway.
Whitening gel must be kept away from soft tissue. A common side effect of teeth whitening is soft tissue irritation. This usually happens when the whitening solution gets on the gums. You might ingest a bit of the gel in take-home whitening kits, which can cause nausea or vomiting. Be cautious to spit out any gel on your teeth.
For some people, the fear of dentistry is so great that it prevents them from attending the dentist for regular maintenance such as 6 monthly exams and hygiene visits. They will attend only when in pain, which in turn will reinforce their fear. We are sympathetic to these feelings and can offer ways to overcome the fears with different techniques. Relaxation is a way in which we can teach our brain to be in control of the body not vice versa. When we are faced with something we are afraid of, our bodies produce substances which raise our anxiety. Learning relaxation controls our bodies.
We place a huge emphasis on preventive dentistry which starts at the very beginning of each patients journey with their initial assessment. We like to educate patients with diet and hygiene advice so they can help prevent potential dental situations. We feel preventing new dental issues is our responsibility and take huge satisfaction in the knowledge that our beautiful dentistry could potentially last for the rest of a patients life.
